Moncton(NB) –Whether you describe your participation in ATLANTICADE 2015 as“We’re Here For A Good Time – Not A Long Timeor just to“Raise A Little Hell; either way you don’t want to miss the July 1st kick-off concert by none other than acclaimed Canadian recording group Trooper.

Declared by Universal Music as “one of Canada’s top five selling bands of all time this legendary rock band with a string of hits will be performing in Moncton as part of the Canada Day celebrations. To top things off the concert is FREE!

Trooper’s first album was released back in 1975 with “Baby Woncha Please Come Home” and “Good Ol’ General Hand Grenade” becoming their first hits. In 1976 they had their second release featuring “Two For The Show” and “Santa Maria”. What followed was a string of hits including “We’re Here For A Good Time”, “Pretty Lady”, “Raise A Little Hell”, “Round Round We Go” , “The Moment That It Takes” and “Boys In The Bright White Sportscar”.

Dubbed“Canada’s Greatest Party Band”, Trooper continues to perform sold out shows for three generations of fans demonstrating that their music remains timeless and ageless.

“What a great way to get the five day party started!” declared ATLANTICADE chairman Dale Hicks. “If there was any incentive to be here for day one of the festival then this is it!” Trooper’s performance will be followed by a spectacular fireworks display all taking place on Riverfront Park which will transform on the following day into the combined site for ATLANTICADE and RibFest.

Whereas this will be an open air concert free to the general public Hicks is expecting a huge crowd to attend. Vehicle parking will be at a premium so ATLANTICADE organizers will have exclusive use of the downtown Moncton Market parking lot for motorcycles only. “We plan to open parking for the bikes around 4:30 and there will be some food vendors at the market open between that time and 6:30 when the live entertainment will begin” said Hicks.
